ASALH screens "Before They Die"

As the Village of Croton shook off the ill effects of the late February Nor'Easter, a storm of a different kind was brewing in Ottinger room of the Croton Free Library.
The library had lent its good offices to the ASALAH Clunie group for a screening of the film "Before They Die" which examines the plight of the survivors of the 1921 Tulsa massacre. A packed house was held rapt as the film ran its course with a compelling Q&A session that followed withTulsa survivor and Westchester resident Dr Olivia Hooker.
There was scarcely a dry eye in the room as the film followed the diminishing band of survivors as they pursued justice in the nation's courts and US Congress.
