There is nothing that is a greater source of pride to me than my two sons, Brandon and Carlton. Eighteen years of hard work and consistent parenting will soon afford me the opportunity to attend the first of hopefully many graduation exercises. Both kids have demonstrated great prowess in media, and for the few of my friends who have not yet seen it, I bring you Brandon's senior film project....

Da Bigg Doggs OF Harlem
Nearly 20 years ago, across from "22 west" Al Gee started a Hoops tournament. In the tradition of educator/ mentors like the late Pelham Fritz and the Great Cal Ramsey, Al has provided a summertime recreational outlet to scores of Harlem youth. He's gettin' his props lately in the form of a prominent spot on a beautiful mural on the side of the Rozier Hansborough(Bathhouse)Center on 135th street. Check it out for yourself.

Joe Louis"Americas Hero"-Betrayed
Every once in a blue moon you get the opportunity to participate in a project that brings both insight and clarity to a familar subject. Joe Lavine's passion and story telling craft were abundantly evident in the screening of his "Joe Louis"Americas Hero"-Betrayed,which was held at the Shomburg on friday February 15, as part of its Black History Month program. It was my great pleasure to have a small part in the telling of this big story.
